O305 #1527
Built in 1978, this bus operated with the ARA, YBC and Stagecoach. This bus was the very last O305 to operate in scheduled service, bringing an end to a 298 bus operation.
After its retirement in 2005, the bus was donated to MOTAT, where it stayed until 2018, when it was further donated to the Omnibus Society, who tried to build its Auckland operation.
In 2022, Omnibus passed the bus on to Dave Marsden at Coachways, with the intention of bringing 1527 back to the road to run alongside Princess, #1530.
Fast forward to 2026, we were given the opportunity to continue the story of #1527, which we will gladly accept.
Whilst this is a longer-term project for us, like those before us, we acknowledge the importance of this vehicle, so we will do everything we can to get the vehicle across the line.
