1996 NDNZ Scorpion #1812
The Scorpion SBR180SLF built by NDNZ was selected to bring the overall fleet age of the Yellow Bus Company down. These low-floor workhorses served the city diligently until the middle of the 2010s, and we are proud to now have two examples of these Auckland icons in our care #1807 and #1812.

#1812 has spent the latter part of its working life as Uzabus #593. We have been working alongside the team at Uzabus Coachlines for several years to ensure this particular piece of bus history is preserved. After a long period of preparation, #1812 has officially returned home to Auckland.

Shortly after collecting the bus, we took it on its first public outing while under our care, where it served the Helensville community as a local shuttle for the 2025 Helensville Heritage Festival.
We decked out the interior with historical photos of buses operating around Auckland, as well as information about our growing fleet.

With #1812 now road-legal and joining #1807 in the fleet, we are excited to continue the restoration of these NDNZ classics.
