1994 MAN 11.190 #210

This is one of the few remaining early 500 series MAN 11.190s left. This saw service with Cityline and Stagecoach before being transferred to Waiheke Bus Company, all Brian Souter companies at the time.

​This 11.190 served Waiheke faithfully for over 10 years, eventually being replaced by brand new electric buses as Auckland Transport rolled out their new network on the island. Instead of seeing the bus rot away into the history books, we were able to have the vehicle returned to mainland Auckland, where eventually it will see a spruce up and a lot of TLC.

Maybe one day, it will return to the island and show all of the electric buses how to serve the community!
